Last Friday I received an upgrade in the SLMND server for arriving earlier at an event.
That made me really happy and I decided to study a bit more about the server after this happened.
Here’s what I learned.
Planned Since Before Testnet
SLMND is an NFT that has been planned on the Monad network since before the launch of the testnet.
They were one of the projects that participated in the Mach 2 NFT Accelerator by Monad (read about this program here: Madness and Mach: How Monad Invests in Its Ecosystem)
Server
Inside the server, we have several events:

📅 Saturday 14UTC – Ferfer Beliver Meetup
📅 Tuesday 18UTC – SLMND Game Night
📅 Thursday 18UTC – Geoguessr with Alloca
🎲 Rumble – random times during the day
Participating in events, being active in the chat, and creating content helps you stand out and get role upgrades.
Let me explain better…
- Salminion → Starting point.
- Rocket Salmon → Recognition for boosters.
- Yapster → For those who don’t stop interacting in chat.
- Riverborn → More experienced members. This role is FCFS.
- Guardian Salmon → One of the most important roles, earned through games, events, or special activities. Besides prestige, it grants 1 GTD mint.
- Boiling Hot → Intermediate stage, showing you’re heating up to become part of the elite.
- Royal Salmon → The top of the hierarchy. Represents the true ambassadors of SLMND and grants 2 GTD mints.
Role upgrades happen on average every 2 weeks.
