Why Join the Monad Community

Today’s post is a bit different — the focus is not to teach about Monad’s testnet, its NFTs, or how this blockchain works, but rather to talk a bit about the community.

P.S. I am Brazilian, this content was written based on an experience I had in the Monad PT community, despite this, the message remains the same, Monad is a great place to make friends on the web3.

It may sound silly, but it’s not.

The web3 world is much easier when you have friends who are also participating in it. There’s so much going on, and it’s almost impossible for just one person to track everything.

I try to dedicate at least an hour a day to the blog, but even studying Monad for an hour daily, I still miss out on a lot. The Monad ecosystem is huge, so I end up missing a lot of updates.

That’s why networking and interacting with the community is important — and fun too.

Being part of the community has several advantages:

  1. Within the community, you’ll find people following many NFT launches — with their help, you can plan ahead without having to spend hours tracking all the projects yourself.
  2. You’ll be noticed by the admins, which can help you get roles (I said I wouldn’t talk about roles, but it’s undeniable that only those who interact with the community have the advantage of being noticed more).
  3. You get “alphas” — for example, I’ve seen many people share tips on how to get whitelisted in Monad projects on Telegram. If I weren’t in the Telegram group, I would never know about them.

The community is fun.

Unlike some other projects where all the chat is about “let’s farm,” “check my XP,” or “keep chatting to hit the goal,” MONAD has an active and fun community. The chat flows naturally — and that’s awesome.

Today, I had the idea of creating a memecoin just for fun, to see if we could pump it and then sell it:

Monad is in testnet, so doing this little market manipulation for fun is not a crime hahahahaha

The community just embraced the idea — and thanks to the help of several people, besides the token, we also created an NFT.

NeyFun Token –> https://testnet.nad.fun/tokens/0xAD88645C49185c5c6A67e4dcDF92847a2f56D7f2

In the end, it didn’t go so well hahahahaha

NeyNad NFT –> https://magiceden.io/mint-terminal/monad-testnet/0xae6adf1a503b55a9142597abc9d96c71f90458d3

Our goal here is to sell it only for 1000 MON or more — mint it and list it for more than 1000 MON 😀

I don’t know if this token or this NFT will actually gain value, but the message I want to convey is that the community is open to ideas.

The whole process of creating the token and NFT was really fun, and many people participated (I just contributed ideas — others did the actual development).

To summarize:

  1. Join the community
  2. Try to create value by producing content
  3. Also, have fun chatting with people

Making friends in this web3 world can help you a lot, both within the Monad ecosystem and beyond. Enjoy the journey.
